IC2 Releasing New Product Lines at 2024 AIAA Aviation Forum in Las Vegas

IC2 will be attending the upcoming 2024 AIAA Aviation Forum in Las Vegas, NV from July 29 through August 2. IC2 will be located in the expo hall in Booth 48. We will be displaying our lines of aerospace sensors and data acquisition systems, including two brand new products and two major updates to existing product lines.

Introducing DynaMic® Dynamic Pressure Sensors and Aeroacoustic Microphones

DynaMic sensor with cylindrical housing

DynaMic is a miniaturized, flush-mountable aeroacoustic pressure-field microphone designed for through-wall installation applications such as aeroacoustic microphone phased arrays and fluctuating pressure sensing. IC2’s innovative approach enables higher density acoustic arrays, with significantly reduced cost per channel, resulting in higher channel-count arrays comprised of high-bandwidth, high dynamic range, flush-mounted aeroacoustic microphones. Multiple small vents etched through the diaphragm are used to equilibrate the static pressure between the cavity and the test environment, enabling use in vacuum and/or pressurized facilities.

Introducing DAQSync™ GPS-Disciplined Clock Alignment Tool

DAQSync provides high-accuracy, GPS-disciplined, time and clock alignment for devices or a collection of devices that require accurate timing and clock alignment. DAQSync contains a GPS-disciplined oscillator which is provided as an output. The device’s main function is to wirelessly synchronize the clock sources of multiple devices to be within ±50 ns of each other. DAQSync generates a clock signal, a user settable clock / PPS signal, a user settable alarm pulse, and a user settable wave / wavelet. All outputs are 3.3 V and signals may be fed into multiple instruments using branched connectors.

New DirectShear® and MHzPressure® Package Options Now Available

Low Profile DirectShear Sensors

DirectShear-Low-Profile-Package

DirectShear Sensors are robust, high-bandwidth, high-resolution, micromachined wall shear stress sensors for subsonic and transonic applications. A new low-profile package is now available as an option to acquire wall shear stress measurements in test sections and models where space is limited. This new package features a 6 mm diameter and 9 mm long sensor head better suited to space-constrained testing scenarios.

IEPE and Miniaturized MHzPressure Variations

MHzPressure sensors are fully calibrated (both magnitude and phase) MHz-bandwidth sensors that enable quantifiable fluctuating pressure measurements in high-speed flows. New IEPE and Miniaturized versions increase versatility and enable installation in space restricted locations. The IEPE model is compatible with commercially available IEPE power supplies and data acquisition hardware while the miniaturized package utilizes IC2’s ASC-0401-SAL four-wire power supply.
