DAQSync GPS
DAQSync® provides high-accuracy, GPS-disciplined, time and clock alignment for devices or a collection of devices that require accurate timing and clock alignment.
DAQSync contains a GPS-disciplined oscillator which is provided as an output. The device’s main function is to wirelessly synchronize the clock sources of multiple devices to be within ±50 ns of each other. DAQSync generates a clock signal, a user settable clock / PPS signal, a user settable alarm pulse, and a user settable wave / wavelet. All outputs are 3.3 V and signals may be fed into multiple instruments using branched connectors. Utilize multiple DAQSync modules in tandem to synchronize clock signals for multiple devices across any distance.
Same Time, All Places – Measurements, Synchronized
This system is designed to generate timing pulses that are tightly aligned with the GPS time, providing a highly accurate time reference across devices anywhere in the world. Trigger all sensors in a network to take measurements at the exact same moment, reducing discrepancies caused by time lags or drifts. This ensures that all ADCs in a system are sampling at the same time, which is crucial for applications where precise time alignment is required, such as in high-speed data acquisition systems. This feature greatly enhances the accuracy and reliability of the data collected, making it a highly desirable feature in many industries.
An 11.2896 MHz model is provided as an option for audio / visual alignment applications.

How do I control and configure DAQSync?
DAQSync is controlled via USB-C using a virtual serial interface. Configuration is simple with standard terminal software like PuTTY and a clear command set provided in the user manual.
Does DAQSync require an internet connection to work?
No. DAQSync operates independently using GPS signals for time synchronization. An internet connection is only needed for firmware updates or accessing online documentation.
What output options does DAQSync provide?
DAQSync offers configurable outputs including 10 MHz or 11.2896 MHz clock signals, PPS (pulse-per-second), trigger pulses, and waveform generation all in 3.3 V TTL logic for easy integration.
How does DAQSync achieve synchronization?
DAQSync uses an embedded GNSS receiver and GPS-disciplined oscillator to generate timing pulses aligned with GPS time. Multiple units can wirelessly sync, maintaining nanosecond-level precision.
What applications is DAQSync designed for?
DAQSync is commonly used in data acquisition synchronization, audio/visual time alignment, industrial automation, precision timing for distributed systems, and any scenario where accurate time correlation is critical.
