Contract Number – FA8649-20-P-0915 | SBIR Phase 1 | Principal Investigator – David Mills | Project Start Date – 3/5/2020

The Interdisciplinary Consulting Corporation (IC2) proposes the development of a MHz-bandwidth dynamic pressure sensor for hypersonic flow measurement applications. The goal of this research is to develop a scientific-grade pressure sensor using MEMS piezoelectric sensing technology and optimization for bandwidths exceeding 1 MHz to enable wide-band performance and full calibration capability at targeted operating frequencies. The resulting fully-calibrated sensor will directly enable quantifiable dynamic pressure measurements in high-speed flows. The Phase I proposal is focused on establishing product-market fit though customer interviews and value proposition development.
